Workwear Wednesday: Jewelry

Okay so you can probably wear almost any kind of jewelry to work depending on the outfit and your office environment, but jewelry can really make or break an outfit, increase or decrease the formality, and also show your personality if your office clothes need to be a little more traditional. If you're in a creative field, you probably have a pretty relaxed dress code, and if you work from home like me, even more so!  But when I meet with clients I need to convey my both my professionalism as well as my creativity, which is a delicate balance.  So I like often like jewelry that's geometric because I think it's where art meets structure.

Featured Etsy Artist: CicaleTdesigns

It's been a while since I've featured an Etsy artist, too long really, so when I stumbled upon CicaleTdesigns I had to share what is some of the most beautiful jewelry design I've seen for a long time!  I'm just drooling over several of her pieces, mainly the pretty pretty earrings!   And I'm normally not even an earrings kinda gal.  I think what really refreshing about her work is that it's very wearable.  So often right now your see big elaborate necklace designs with heaps of ribbons, chunky chains and vintage baubles that, while very beautiful, just aren't practical for most outings.  This jewelry is beautiful enough to wear to a formal event but practical enough to wear while walking the dog.  You can shop CicaleTdesigns by clicking here.

Man Jewelry

Regardless of personal style most women have something in mind when they think of their engagement & wedding ring.  The same cannot be said for men.  Most men that I've talked to don't really have an opinion when it comes to choosing their wedding band.  Probably because, lets face it, the poor guys just don't have that many options.  Men grow up viewing jewelry as a chick thing so anything other a plain band can seem way to feminine for them.  My husband chose to go with a titanium band.  It made sense to him.  It was indestructible & inexpensive (which is good because he lost his first band in the lake and we're on #2 now).   I recently stumbled upon an etsy seller who makes wedding bands that are both beautiful & masculine.  Minter & Richter Designs makes stunning titanium rings, many featuring wood inlays, all made to order and fully customizable. You can even get a matching set for the two of you.

Wedding Day Jewelry by Kate Spade

Oh Kate Spade, how I love thee!

I adore pretty much anything by Kate Spade. Who else can make bold pops of color so sophisticated and chic? Plus, the stylists and photographers are so talented! Viewing a new Kate Spade campaign is almost and energizing as a double espresso. Had I the income, I'd shop there constantly! While one doesn't typically think Kate Spade when thinking about wedding wear, their jewelry is definitely note worthy! So much of the jewelry at bridal shops tends to look "prom-ish" and almost juvenile. Well say goodbye to the cheesy rhinestones. Kate Spade's
statement-making jewelry will add a style to your wedding wardrobe that is both unexpected and brilliant!
