Happy Friday everyone! I'm excited because tomorrow my kickstarter project hits it's deadline and we have funded 177% of it's goal! Yay! I want to give a big huge thank you to everyone who's donated and who's helped spread the word! I'm also excited because I did a test listing of one of the new items for Laura Whitney Couture in my etsy shop and it sold within a week to a local Minneapolis woman! I'll take it as a good sign! Well I've got to go now, lots of work to do!!!! Hope you all have a great spring weekend!

HALF WAY to the Kickstarter Project Deadline!
Wow you guys! I am so thrilled at how amazing the donations have been! I'm really touched to see how much you all believe in me! We are half-way through the Kickstarter project and with just 15 days to go, boy, the pressure is on! I'd like to once again thank everyone who has pledged so far and remind everyone else that if you were thinking about donating, DO IT! Even if all you pledge is $5, every bit helps. Each dollar past the goal amount is going to allow me to promote the line much better through advertising and promotions, not to mention the purchase of fabric and supplies! You guys are fantastic! I couldn't do it without your support! You can pledge by clicking here.
Things are going great on my end too. I'm continuing work on new designs and drafting new patterns. There are a TON of little details to get to as well! Yesterday I made a bunch of hang tags to go on finished garments; they look très chic! Below is a glimps into the work room of the past few weeks! Still SOOO much to do! I better get back to work!

Happy Monday + Kickstarter Success!!!
Hey guys! Boy, even though I'm fighting a really bad sore throat I am so happy right now because my Kickstarter reached it's goal on the first weekend! Not only reached it's goal but surpassed it! I can't believe that in just 4 days over $1200 was pledged! I am truly touched, amazed, & excited! There are still 25 days to go before the deadline and I'm hoping that we'll still raise even more! (i.e. keep spreading the word!) It's just so great because now I will be able to buy material and hire models and money raise over the goal will allow me to advertise & promote the line so much better! I'm so grateful for everyone's generosity!!!! Thanks so much!

Happy Friday + Do-gooding!!!
Happy Friday all! Hope you've had a great week. I certainly have, and a very busy and exciting one at that!
Today I want to talk about Kickstarter because very shortly I'll be launching my own kickstarter campaign! For those of you who don't know, Kickstarter is an online threshold pledge system for funding wonderful creative projects. Kickstarter has funded a diverse array of endeavors, ranging from indie film and music to writing, fashion, and technology related projects. Project owners choose a deadline and a target minimum of funds to raise. If the chosen target amount is not gathered by the deadline, no funds are collected, making fund-raising through Kickstarter an all-or-nothing deal. There are so many amazing projects seeking donation & I really encourage you to check them out and pick at least one to pledge! If you don't have time to browse projects, why not take my word for it and donate to the great girls behind Rubyassata Handbags? I donated to them because their video really spoke to me and they seem like really energetic, motivated, hard working ladies just going after that dream! Donate to them HERE.
