Rustic Weddings

I love a sleek stylish shindig but nothing compares to the casual beauty of mother nature, so I also love a laid-back rustic wedding held outdoors.  Common themes include rough weathered wood, wild flower bouquets, and good ol' home cookin' in lue of expensive catered fare.  In general these weddings tend to be very comfortable for guests and sometimes more of a personal expression of the bride & groom.  Here are some of my favorite rustic wedding inspiration images!  {images via 100 Layer Cake}

Dreaming of Summer

I don't know why I live in Minnesota.  After a week of spring-like melting and sunshine it is snowing again.  Fiercely.  And what makes it worse it that tons of my friends are escaping it by traveling the globe.  Several have been taking trips to steamy hot India, another just went to Arizona, and I keep seeing these facebook pictures of people mountain biking or ocean swimming.  Next year I'm gonna HAVE to save up for a winter trip!   In the mean time though I'm going to try to stay positive and that's why I'm posting 7 images of summer from Flicker. 

Super Adorable Wedding!

When I spotted the DIY wedding of Tabitha and Cynthia on Style Me Pretty, I was delighted by all the cuteness!  It's such an adorable, bright wedding that really seems to capture the love of this awesome twosome! Garden Wedding Mood Board

It's about 8 degrees outside this morning in Minneapolis with a -7 degree wind chill.  Needless to say, I'm glad to work from home today and not have to go out into it!   Still I'm starting to get really bogged down by all the snow and cold so I thought today I'd give myself a tiny break and do a inspiration board for a summer garden wedding!  Until I can get myself over to the Como Conservatory to be surrounded by lush green tropical plants, this will have to do!
