Happy Birthday to ME!

Yay!  It's my birthday!  Okay so I'm not actually doing anything spectacular today and it's a pretty normal work day meeting with a couple clients and so forth.  I'll be celebrating with my friends in my home town on Saturday!  But in the theme of birthdays, I thought I post some of my favorite DIY birthday invitations and decorations!   There are so many out there that are super clever and cute!  Enjoy!

The Oscars 2011 - My Top Fashion Picks!

Okay so by now you've either seen the Oscars or just don't care.  I actually don't really care about the awards but I DO love to look at was the leading ladies wore that night!  A couple trends I noticed were a)metallics, b)sleeves, & c)very few ball gowns.  As far as silhouettes go, the column still reigned supreme with some form of trumpet skirt riding a close second (no surprise since this is a really flattering shape for just about anyone!).   So who were my favs?  Hands down I thought the most beautifully dressed woman there was Mila Kunis who wore a very romantic lavender Elie Saab gown! Runners up are Amy Adams who wore a deep blue short sleeve gown that was surprisingly sexy while being pretty much full coverage.  Then Cate Blanchett, Michelle Williams, Mandi Moore, & Jennifer Hudson.

Recent Work

Good morning all!  I can't talk too much about it but I've got some BIG stuff going on!  In the following weeks I'll be giving you, my readers, little sneak peeks of some of the lovelies I'm designing for what is sure to be an exciting launch!  Today is probably one of the more generous previews of a new gown design.  I'm just too excited about it!  I don't have a name for it yet, I've been tossing around the phrase "TR fan dress" for obvious reasons.  The drama on the back of the gown is a 3-D origami technique known as transformation reconstruction (google it!).  Anyway, I'm lovin' it & I hope you do too!
