Happy Friday everyone! I think the cold weather has taken everyone by surprise because I am swamped with last-minute orders for weddings in the next 2 weeks. So I'll be working hard to get as much done as possible before attending our friends' wedding tomorrow! I'm very excited to attend because she also works in the wedding industry and from the sound of thing it will really be a feast for the eyes. I'll have a number of other big things on my mind including the possibility of hiring an intern, new advertising, and the Fall/Winter 2010 Baby-Toddler collection for Uptown Urban Craft, which I pumped out recently with a burst of inspiration by the news that one of my other good friends is going to be a new mommy! Despite all this, I'm still going to try my darnedest to relax and unwind from what's been a pretty tense week. Hope you all can do the same!

Save the Dates
I came across these too cute save the dates over at Grey Likes Weddings and I just had to share them. It's a really good DIY project and I can even see using the bunting theme for lots of other occasions like birthday party invitations! I think my favorite part is the envelope which would be so easy to do using a white gel pen or a white colored pencil. Très chic!

Magazine Crush: RUE
Yesterday Apartment Therapy shared the news about a new online design magazine called RUE. I'm already crushing on it! It launches Thursday and will cover homes, entertaining, recipes, trends, products and more — including some downloadable stationery as a first issue bonus. The word on the grapevine is that RUE will be published online bi-monthly and it's features will cover a wide range of cities including San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, and of course New York. You can check it out with me on Thursday here.

What I'm Working on Now
Just wanted to share one of my projects I'm working on. It's a custom-made bolero for a local bride-to-be based on my East Lake Bolero design. We are using special silk dupioni to match her dress. It's so fun for me to work on projects like these because it takes me back to my designer roots. The photo below is after doing a custom drape to design the pattern on muslin. Here I've marked out the pattern pieces and will be making up a muslin sample before her next fitting.
