Happy Friday!

Good morning and happy Friday!  It's nice and sunny in Minneapolis so that makes me HAPPY!   I still have to get work done today so I can't start my weekend just yet.  But I hope you all have a great weekend spend in the company of friends!

BHLDN by Anthropology

So the biggest buzz in the bridal blog-o-sphere this week has been the debut of Anthropologie's new bridal collection BHLDN (pronounced "beholden").  This was a long awaited releases and the wait was worth it!  As a designer, I'm actually really intimidated by this collection because, well, it's so perfect!  Everything is absolutely wonderful and I can't think of a single thing to criticize about it!  Even the prices are pretty reasonable for bridal (which is something I can't say about regular Anthropologie clothes!) with gowns ranging from $1000-$4000.   How's a small time designer to compete?  Well, I don't know the answer to that and all I can say is BRAVO to the team who's clearly worked so hard to put it all together, from the artfully detailed gowns to the dreamy photography, I tip my hat to you!  Well done!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Good morning!  Love is in the air in Minneapolis today, mostly because out negative degree weather has suddenly turned into positive 40 degrees!!!  The sun is out, the snow is melting fast and the general mood in the city is much improved!  I hope everyone has a wonderful love-filled day.  Of course with my sweety almost everyday is like valentine's day.  We're staying in tonight and he's cooking me dinner.

Valentine's Day is coming up pretty quick now so I thought I'd do a little post to get you in the mood for the holiday.  Today I'm featuring pink rooms!  And I mean stylish pink rooms that an adult could actually live with, not teenybopper pink rooms.  Okay so most adult males may not want to live in one of these, but with Pantones new color of the year being a pink (think watermelon) we're sure to see more pink home goods in the next 11 months.  Actually I think pink gets a bad rap for being so feminine that it's somehow "anti-feminist".  Give me a break.  It's just a color, and a lovely one at that!  So here they are, some very cool pink rooms!

The Ultimate Wedding Accessory: A Classic Car!

The hubby and I are having car troubles this week which isn't at all fun.  Our car might be going to that big junk yard in the sky and that really makes me wish it was summer and we could cruise around in our super cute 1963 Mercury Comet instead of trying to brave the winter roads in our clunker.  I'm so excited to use the Comet this summer and can't wait to do a little photo shoot with it, which brings me to the subject of classic cars in wedding photos.  I think a vintage or classic car is the best photo prop around!  No matter what era the car is from, there is just something romantic about older cars that you can't get with even a modern luxury car.  With that in mind I'd thought I'd post some of my favorite wedding photos with classic cars in them!
